Maresha has always been interested in neurosurgery and in global health. Being an immigrant from Ghana, she has done substantial volunteering at the hospitals in her hometown of Accra. Bridging the gap between the United States and global medicine, particularly the medicine practiced in African countries, has always been an interest of hers.
