Shin became interested in DGNN due to the overlap of global health and neuroscience in the group. After doing neuroscience research to help mitigate the effects of the disparities in the levels of healthcare, this area became particularly interesting to him.  He is currently working with the DGNN ICP Monitoring Team.  Their goal is to design a study where they can implement noninvasive techniques to detect elevated ICP in Ugandan patients.
