Meet Our DGNN Team Members: Jasmine Hughes

3 Things to Know About Jasmine Hughes

Jasmine has been working with DGNN since Fall 2018. She joined DGNN when she was working in the Neurosurgery Department at Duke University Medical Center. As a Bioethics Master’s student at Wake Forest University, she worked with DGNN on a collaboration thesis project. She plans to continue working with DGNN as a Master’s in Global Health student at Duke. 

 

Here are a few things to know about Jasmine:

 

  1. Jasmine is passionate about both global neurosurgery and neuroimmunology. She aims to connect both fields as a surgeon-scientist in the future. 
  2. As an activist, she aims to promote social justice, and equity within access to healthcare globally. 
  3. Jasmine loves to travel and hopes to continue traveling to meet new people, learn about different cultures and cuisines throughout her studies and career.
